Portrait photograph postcard of World War I soldier Herman VanVorst, a Darboy, Wisconsin soldier who served as a private in Company C, 108th Ammunition Train, 33rd Infantry Division. After the war, VanVorst returned to Wisconsin and held a variety of jobs, including Justice of the Peace of Buchanan, Wisconsin. VanVorst was active in Leo Van Roy Post 265 of the American Legion and served as the adjutant and chaplain of the post. VanVorst died in 1985 and is buried at Holy Angels Parish Cemetery in Darboy.
